Is this the cutest name for beauty products ever?

Recently while watching Warren/Brown debates (my smart side), and reading my favorite blogs (my ehhhhh side) I decided to reach out to the twittersphere to garner knowledge on an eye make up remover that won’t make my eyes burn.  I’ve had terrible luck in the past and somewhere between What Should We Call Me and Scott Brown’s favorite Supreme Court Justices, I realized that I have a world of fashion/beauty junkies at my very fingertips.  Problem solved.

So I tweeted.  And the ladies tweeted back.

And that’s where I heard about a beauty company with quite possibly the cutest name ever… Sprout.

Made in Brooklyn by “real people,” Sprout products are comprised of under five ingredients each and are sweet to sensitive skin.  Read all about their spot-on beauty philosophy here

I received my makeup remover today.  It’s made ONLY from organic olive oil, jojoba oil, and sweet almond oil.    And it was only $12.  Which is well under what I would pay if I tried to DIY at Whole Foods.  I love their branding and I love that a real person wrote “Thank you Rachel” on the invoice.   I’m a sucker for actual handwriting.

I’m still at work and I haven’t actually tried the remover, but here’s hoping it’s as wonderful as doing business with Sprout has been so far.

RW and HSBA

Bright and early this morning, my dear friend and business partner Rachel was elected to serve on the the Executive Board of the Harvard Square Business Association.  For the next three years, she’ll be hauling herself out of bed on the 1st Friday of each month to give her opinion on how to support and grow Harvard Square.  You’ll see me there if they give us free food.   Kidding.  Congratulations RW!

Here are a few pictures of our breakfast at the new Maharaja Indian restaurant in Harvard Square (in the former Bombay Club space).

**FYI, the food was delicious and the service was excellent**

Honored guest (on her third cup of coffee)

Our always supportive friend Sara Graham got up early on her DAY OFF to be there for Rachel’s big day.  Love her.
