Getting it back with Mielsisters…
People may claim that you’re your fittest in the Summer months, but personally, I find that my Summertime diet of beer and bbq doesn’t quite contribute to an overall shaped-up aesthetic.
With Fall steadily approaching (sorry it’s true) I know it’s imperative that I reinstate some workout habits before the holiday season wreaks havoc on my waistline.
The problem is that I’m somewhat lazy and find that most of my workout inspiration comes after purchasing new workout clothing or accessories (New sneaks? I’m sooooo into running).
So I’m happy to report that I’ve found my Fall inspiration by way of a new line of microfiber bras and undies from Canadian based company Mielsisters Intimates.
Two of my favorite pieces, the Nana wireless bra and the Luna hipster, are diagrammed below….See how great they are?
So thanks Mielsisters, your bras and undies are just what I need to get back into shape.
Hopefully it’ll be enough to combat my issues with Shipyard Pumpkinhead.
New Horizons
On dreary days like this, all I want is to be lounging around my apartment reading Vanity Fair…
And while I’m doing this hypothetical lounging, I’m wearing Zinke’s new Horizons Robe.
It’s only been here for a couple days, but I’m already lusting.
And can you blame me? It’s 100% silk, with cropped sleeves (is there anything worse than sleeves cut too long?)
and a sewed-in sash (the only thing worse than sleeves too long, is losing the sash to your robe!).
The color is to die for and the fit is true.

We love this line because of its dedication to creating gorgeous, sexy pieces in pretty much every size imaginable. Mimi ALWAYS gives us a wide range of looks, styles, and colors to choose from, ensuring that Forty Winks is always dotted with the most perfect lacy, silky bits.
This time around, we saw lots of bright colors from the line…even neon leopard print! We’re not sure just how far down that road we’ll actually go, we’ll probably opt for pieces in neutrals with bright pops of color incorporated into the look.
Orrrr we might take a leap into neon and try out the lime green and hot pick animal print!

Ari Dein
While this is technically a new line at Forty Winks, we feel like Ari Dein has always just sort of belonged here with us. Arielle Shapiro the owner, designer, and all around amazing lady, has been a friend of Forty Winks for a while now and when we saw her absolutely amazing collection for Spring 2012, we knew it was the right time to snap up all this gorgeousness.
Expect corals, stripes, and lavenders from Ari Dein this Spring; each piece lovingly fabricated from the most gorgeous materials and impeccably detailed. This line is pure luxury and we could be more excited to share it with you.
**Not being the types to wait, we also wrote an order for the most stunning silk chemise you’ve ever laid eyes on, set to arrive around October. All I’ll say is that it’s black with gold detailing and it will be here just in time to be added to your Holiday wishlists!
Zinke
We’re huge fans of Zinke’s bralets and ruched back undies and I’m pleased to report that the Spring collection is exceptionally wearable while still maintaining that something special vibe that Zinke is known for…
I’m personally on a huge red kick right now so I’m thrilled that Zinke’s S/S line is chock full of the color. Mix in some original chevron prints, bright lilacs, light bridal blues, and lemony yellows, and you’ve got yourself one impressively colorful lingerie line.
We’re positively giddy over their new foray into bathing suits too!!!!
La Fee Verte
We always freak out a little bit over La Fee Verte.
The line just always seems to get the fit on their little bits of silk just right, and their prints, colors, and fabrications leave us swooning every season. This Spring is no exception. We’re happy to report that LFV will be jazzing up our racks with the most beautiful floral and tribal prints in silk styles that you’ll never want to take off. As usual, bralets and tap pants abound, but expect more in the way of robes, chemises, and cami/shorty sets.
Between the Sheets
As usual, Between the Sheets has given us the perfect combination of sexy lingerie and comfy, cozy loungewear. Sticking with the “Play” theme, designer Layla gives us her new “Birds of Play” collection in stunning, originally designed, feather lace. Expect to see high waisted undies, bralets, and one madly sexy cut-out chemise.
We’re smitten with the purply grey color which will be making an appearance on our racks as early as October!
We’d being doing you a disservice if we didn’t quickly mention all the gorgeousness that we saw from our tried and true lines like Chantelle, Elle Macpherson Intimates, LeMystere, Cosabella, Eberjey, Only Hearts, Mary Green etc.
For colors, blues reigns supreme…
Demi cups seem to be the most popular silhouettes…
Within the loungewear realm, rompers and teddies rule the school…
For undies, it’s all about extremes with retro-inspired high waisted briefs and sexy g-string styles appearing more and more…
